Giulia teaches swimming at a pool. One of her pupils is the young daughter of Guido, a married and successful writer, whose latest book has been selected as one of the five finalists for a prestigious literary prize, but who grapples with feelings of futility about his profession. When they meet at the pool, the charming Guilia immediately intrigues Guido, who`s drawn by her grace and finesse in the water, but Guilia initially keeps her distance as she is harboring a dark secret.
