LAFF 2012: The Pope`s Toilet (M)

It`s 1988 and Pope John Paul II`s impending visit to a small Uruguayan town stimulates a flurry of activity among the humble locals, who hope to get rich by catering to the needs of the 50,000 expected pilgrims. Petty smuggler Beto is convinced he has the best idea of all - he uses his family`s savings to build a toilet in front of his house and charge for its use. His efforts bring about unexpected consequences, and the final results will surprise everyone.
