Mid-August Lunch (PG)

Written and directed by Gianni di Gregorio, Mid August Lunch is a beautifully rendered drama, capturing the nuances of people`s behavior. Gianni lives with his mother in an old house and looks after her as bills mount up around him and he finds himself neck-deep in debt. As the traditional August15 holiday weekend approaches, he is persuaded by his landlord, doctor and friend to take their elderly relatives out in lieu of relief from his financial burden.
