NT ENCORE: Frankenstein with Benedict Cumberbatch (R15)

Throughout the run of FRANKENSTEIN at the National Theatre, the two main actors (Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller) are alternating the roles of Victor Frankenstein and the Creature on the NT stage. This duality and transformation is an integral part of the process and thinking behind the production. It has very much captured the imagination of the public and the press, making the performances a unique theatrical event. This performance stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Victor Frankenstein. Danny Boyle`s (Slumdog Millionaire) production of Frankenstein, a play by Nick Dear, based on the novel by Mary Shelly. Warning: contains themes of an adult nature. These screenings are part of the National Theatre Live initiative to broadcast performances of plays onto cinema screens worldwide.
