| Q: Can I pre-book for any movie? |
| A: No. Only those movies that show in the drop down box can be pre-booked |
| Q: What about reserved seating? |
| A: Bookmyshow will choose the very best seats available as defined by the cinema themselves. Each seating plan that the cinema uses will define the best seats, it is these that we will select on your behalf. |
| Q: What if I want to change the seats I have been given? |
| A: You should contact the cinema directly. If they have other seats available, then they will happily change your booking for you. |
| Q: Why am I paying $21 per ticket when the chances are that the final ticket will cost less? |
| A: We take $21 in order to ensure that we have enough of your funds to buy the tickets. The moment we purchase the tickets from the cinema, we automatically refund you the difference (less our booking fee). |
| Q: What booking fee am I charged? |
| A: We charge $2 per ticket for the service. You will be refunded this if your pre-booking is cancelled or not successful for any reason. |
| Q: What if I change my mind? |
| A: Please contact us and as long as the tickets have not been issued, we will happily refund you. The moment the tickets are issued (you get an email confirmation from us) we are unable to change your booking. |
| Q: What if my preferences don't match any sessions? |
| A: The chances of this happening are very low. However, in the event that it does, we will of course, refund you in full. |
| Q: What is the start time range? |
| A: This allows you to decide what start time you want to watch the movie. By selecting a wider range you increase the chances of us finding a match to your selection. |
| Q: What Start time should I select? |
| A: Some blockbuster movies open at 12:01am so if you are willing to watch the opening session this late then select 00:00. On the other hand, you might want to watch the movie at a more "civilised" time in which case you should select a start time that more suits you - you do risk not being at the very first session though. |
| Q: Why can I only pay by credit card? |
| A: Our payment process means that we need an automatic refund facility so that we can pay you back the difference between what you originally paid us and the final cost of the booking. We can only do this to credit cards. |
| Q: Why can't I see my local cinema on the cinema selection list? |
| A: We do not yet sell for every cinema in NZ so please contact your local cinema and ask them to contact us so that we can sell on their behalf. |
| Q: How do I know that you have the opening dates correct? |
| A: The movie distributor publishes the opening date and we use this. |
| Q: What happens if my number one preference for cinema isn't available? |
| A: If this happens, we will automatically look for tickets from your second preference. |
| Q: What are my risks by pre-booking with you? |
| A: Bookmyshow prides itself on delivering a great experience and high quality services to all our customers. We sell tickets on behalf of many of the largest cinemas in New Zealand and have been in business since March 2009. If for any reason, we are unable to purchase the tickets for you, you will be given a full refund. |
| Q: What are the benefits of pre-booking with you? |
| A: By using this service you are ensuring that the moment a cinema releases tickets for sale (that meet your preferences), we will buy those tickets for you. This is done by our very clever computer system that is in constant communication with the cinema computers. |
